Creating a community heart for all to enjoy includes the need to provide safe and refreshing amenity for all park users.

In this situation it was identified that a Changing Places facility should be included to serve the requirements of severely disabled persons and their carers. ACLA Landscape Architects worked extensively with Conrad from STELLAR Washrooms to prepare a building design that met the community needs, and blends seamlessly with the landscape design.

Josh from ACLA Landscape Architects worked with STELLAR Washrooms to provide Hobsons Bay City Council achieve their vision. JMAC Constructions was the nominated head contractor responsible for building the project.

Large sites such as these often present challenges in terms of unknown details relating to soil contamination, presence of rock, existence and distance of essential infrastructure such as sewer, water, power and stormwater discharge.
