Public toilet block at McLean Reserve

Moorabool Shire Council engaged Stellar Washrooms to design, manufacture, supply and install a new prefabricated modular public toilet block at McLean Reserve as part of a wider precinct upgrade.
The new facility included one unisex accessible cubicle, two unisex ambulant cubicles, three standard unisex cubicles, and an integrated service area, delivering a modern, compliant and functional public amenity for the growing community.

The existing brick amenities building—having served the community for decades—was demolished to allow for a fully compliant, all-abilities facility designed in line with CPTED principles to improve safety, visibility, and hygiene.
To embed sustainability into the project, Stellar Washrooms worked closely with Council to salvage and reuse bricks from the original structure. This not only reduced waste but also created a visually cohesive design that complements the surrounding architecture and landscape.

The broader McLean Reserve upgrade, including extensive landscaping works, was delivered under a separate contract that ran concurrently with the amenities project. To avoid site conflicts and maintain project momentum, Stellar Washrooms collaborated closely with Council and other contractors through consistent communication, coordinated planning, and flexible work sequencing.
The completed building is a high-quality, durable community asset that reflects the character and history of the area. It features perforated artwork depicting the maple leaf—an iconic element of Moorabool Shire’s branding—creating a strong visual connection to local identity while delivering a safe, attractive and accessible public facility.
